Horizon Bancorp operates as the bank holding company for Horizon Bank, N.A. that provides commercial and retail banking services in northwestern Indiana and southwestern Michigan. The company offers demand deposits, savings accounts, interest-bearing checking accounts, and money market deposits. Its loan portfolio comprises commercial, financial, agricultural, and commercial tax-exempt loans; mortgage warehouse loans; installment loans; residential first mortgage loans; and consumer loans. The company also provides corporate and individual trust and agency services, and investment management services. It operates 22 full service facilities. The company was founded in 1873 and is headquartered in Michigan City, Indiana.
